Help with id-ing bike and color

First off what kind of bike is this? Also any idea on who made it and year. Last should I paint it army green with white star on gas tank not on the bike at the time I took the picture. Or blue with black detail.

Just guessing from the details I can see in the pic I would say a 80's Murray. Post some more detailed pics showing the serial numbers, rear dropouts, front sprocket, etc. for a better idea.

As far as the paint goes, it is your bike paint it how you like it. Check some of the gallery threads for some ideas.

Could not find any numbers on the bike. Thanks for the bike pictures its just this is my dream bike. And not I own it . So I've had a hard time thinking of paint Ideas

It it most likely a 1993 Murray Westport.
The coaster brake should be a Tectro.
The from hub should be Wald-the last 2 numbers should say 93.

is is a murray but not 1980s. that is when the Monteray was made it had different dropouts.

flip the bars, or get some ape hangers.
you could go the th black out paint scheme and have everything black. then add red tires. :idea:
