Hercules AMF 3 speed grip shifter

This is a Hercules AMF with a Sturmey-Archer 3 speed grip shifter. I will get the year when I clear off the rear hub. The rear rack, handlebars and stem were covered with a thick crud. The crud came off with a little work with a paint scraper, Noxon Cleaner and electric tooth brush. I will see if the lights and generator will work later.

What is the best way to remove those safety decals?

those things are tough...I just chip 'em off, little by little :roll: :roll: :roll:

I use a heat gun or hair dryer. They are tough though.

I have a matching Women's AMF Hercules in the gold color. Sweet bikes!

On chrome parts "Fingernail polish" works well. That is what we used on Hotwheels as well, but be careful on painted objects.
