Back in my navy days, I bought a couple of 3 speed bikes up in Bremerton Wash, and put together my world cruiser bike. The chrome forks came off the Montgomery Wards 3 speed. The rest is Hercules. I took this with me on the ships I served on and rode it in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, Africa, Thailand, Singapore, and Philippines. Hawaii too. I was lucky enough to get stationed in the Philippines for a couple of years. Station Dito Baby! This photo is from my first visit in the Philippines in 1982. 3 speeds with coaster brake was the way to go. I sure wish I still had that bike, or at least find flat chrome handlebars like it had. The seat was an Ideale leather saddle, I'd like to find another one of those also.
