Hello everybody. My name is Craig and I recently picked up my first vintage bike. From what I can guess its a 40`s Hawthorne. I had my heart set on picking up some white tires. When they arrived and didn't fit my search led me here! Lots of great info here. Looking forward to learning a lot from this site.

Weird Schwinn tires is correct. It needed new tires because its a rider. So for now it has the gum walls on. Ended up changing the handlebars too. I think the only other change I want to make is adding a 1942 Pennsylvania Bicycle tag when I find it!
