Hi from LHI (Australia)

Only just spotted this after putting up a few posts, sorry!

Live on Lord Howe Island (LHI) which is on the Tasman Sea off the east coast of Australia
to be accurate around 700klms (420 miles) NE of Sydney. Lived here for nearly twenty
years, my wife can trace her origins on the island back nearly 160 years to an American
whaler named Nathan Chase Thompson who came from New Bedford on the east coast of
America. Nathan gave up whaling to grow vegetables to trade with passing ships, we still
use one of his old patches to grow veges. Now days tourisim is the island's biggest industry
we have a claim the southern most coral reef in the world.

We have a great Waste Management Facility (Dump) and I have scrounged bike bits from
it for an age. Love customs bikes to be honest anything that rolls, other interests, into RC
cars, tanks, boats and planes, keen on surfing, photography, my family and my dog!
