Howdy y'all, just a quick intro here. I've been peeking at all of your bikes through the hole in the fence for the past year or two and appreciated all of the galleries, build offs, how tos, fresh finds, classifieds and awesome humour and spirit of the members.
I started messin' with old bikes (again) a couple of years ago and still have a few hangin around awaiting their turn. I'm riding an old Hawthorne tank , a 70's Road King middleweight(euro import Eaton's dept store brand, cool chain guard and racks on these bikes), a 40's diamond frame CCM and a 70's Raleigh Sprite for now.
I was recently given a cool Western Flyer twin bar frame , stripped it of multi coats of house paint to metal and I'm likin it bare like that.(for now anyways).I have some nice rusty old CCM fenders that I may mod a bit and mount, a battered old American leather saddle,and.............
I'm looking for a skip tooth chain and wheel so I can mount the nice fat red rubber that I also found curbside and still use that wicked Flyer skip tooth sprocket. Anybody nearby Toronto Ontario have a chain and wheel to spare/trade/sell? I have some regular old forks to use, but open to options, but keepin it true Old School Low Buck Rat.
As winter has arrived, there won't be any painting going on, just wrenchin, greasin and maybe converting some old lights to LED.
Not much of a computer guy really, so my posts should be few and I'm just learning to post pics,

Cheers Suparoo, Thanks for the reply and encouragement. Should have my technical difficulties sorted soon.
I checked your pics and your bikes have a sort of Mad Max vibe to them, primal.....cool.
Must be nice to not to mess with snow and freezing temps.

Thanks Galtbacken, she was my first, An old brush painted red Murray. I have a question for all.The wheels had been painted a matt silver when I found the bike, just like the wheels on my Hawthorne. I took the paint off the Murray wheels and revealed a perfect plated finish. Is this a factory practice and should I do the same with the Hawthorne?
Here's an earlier look for the Murray,[<a href="http://s1080.photobucket.com/albums/j327/latefordinner/?action=view&amp;current=c1012b50.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j327/latefordinner/c1012b50.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>/img]
