i always thought these things were a little odd -- but I love the bike and the color. I am still researching itnto find out he model but it was supposed to have that cool front light but it was not on the bike. The stamped serial number starts with a 63. 1963?

What is the full number?
Definitely mid 60's. Cool bike too, wish I had some parts left to offer you.

Was that seat original? Can't find a pic with one on it?
I'm going to say no, I've never seen one with a factory banana seat.
Probably just added on somewhere along the way.

Not sure what it would be under the Hiawatha name, but it's the same as a Sears flightliner.

Here's an original Murray skymaster of the same era.

You can see the similarities
