Hey y'all.... I picked this Higgins up over the weekend, and I am wondering if anyone can help with a date on it?

The #'s off the bottom bracket are....

Nice bike and REALLY nice color combos, I'm saving the photo for suture paint/inspiration reference.

I'd ditch that crap-a** 60's-70's saddle and replace it with the traditional 50's ballooner saddle and ride that bike forever!

Nice find!

Thanks for the info! Wrong fenders....bummer. Maybe I can find some correct ones. The paint was done to give it a retro look, and I like it alot....may copy it for my VW as well! I agree about the saddle....I didn't like it from the get go. I'd like to rock a big ass tan leather or wicker one too. I just got it, so get time. The rear hub slips a bit occasionally, so that is on top of the list.

It does look like a Color Flow but it's missing the jeweled tank and rack. Too bad, a pair of Color Flow fenders with the right braces and reflector just sold here a couple days ago. Same color combo but much more patina. I Love those bikes.

I guess it'll take some research....all the pictures I see of other Higgins, the fenders look the same. Must be something I'm missing. Been looking at racks too.....does it have to be Higgins specific? I think the tank might be tough to come by.

I have a rack with braces that is probably close to the same color, ive also got a girls rear fender, rear fender stay and rear reflector.... ill pm you

the fenders would be a bit deeper, from the pictures they look like repops, higgins fenders had very distinct stays on the front and back.

just need a tank and batwing... your cruising.

I like those colors. I did a paint job very similar to that a dozen years ago on this late 40's Monark. Krylon Hunter Green with Krylon Jade Green and red pin stripes. I eventually got a tank, changed the red tires to white walls and sold the thing. Gary

Pretty awesome....close colors!

My rear hub is slipping bad...anyone got a skiptooth hub?

Have you taken the hub apart yet? In my experience, slipping hubs have always been from old hard grease in the moving parts inside the hub. If you take it apart to clean, be thorough, it's now fun to put one back together and have to take it apart again.
