This is a LED light I have made for night mtb riding. Not really a full "how to" write up, but I can expand on it if anyone wants full details and links to places to purchase parts. Pretty sure I'll build another variation on this for my "Transporter" bike build I have on the go. Something less powerful and attached to the bike instead of helmet mount.
Parts layed out. Some Thirsty Beaver to help the project along.
Hand filed aluminum slug pressed into 3/4 pipe then pressed into 3/4 pipe coupler.
Super tight on space in there with the Buck driver. I used epoxy to hold the sleeve into the end cap. I should have done the epoxy set on this before assembly and soldering.
3 XPG from cutter.
Almost finished. I need to use some silicone to hold the lens in and the end cap/sleeve to the body.
