Goodyear Hi-Way Patrol badged Columbia down at a local antique store. Is this at all desirable for $100? Tires are shot and not original seat. Has light, rack, and OG fender reflector.

I'd try for $75. I don't think I've EVER seen that chain guard before!!!! I don't think it's original, 'Skyhawk' was an AMF model. Way cool though! -Adam

I pulled the trigger on this one. No wonder I couldn't find any images of a Columbia Skyhawk. Got some rust off last night to reveal some blue paint. The white darts are cleaning up well. Does anyone know the significance or reason Columbia made this bike? I can understand department store badges, but am scratching my head on this one.

Cleanup phase. Kinda weird, this bike came apart super easy. Nothing stripped, broke, seized etc. Fenders are straight as an arrow, not a ding on them, just rust. Wood bleaching now.

Adam, crazy at it seems, original color popping through on the Skyhawk guard. Whatdya think? I sanded down to the metal on a couple spots looking for other colors/primer etc. and got nothing but blue.

Check out Mr. Columbia's site for more info. Most tire stores sold bikes into the 70s. I think Western Auto did until Sears bought them out. Also, since I have my photobucket open, here's my 62 Hiway patrol.(og ebay pic) -Adam
