Had a great Memorial weekend. Food, Family, and Bikes. During my travels to smalltown kansas, I managed to pick up the following. Some help on a couple of these would be greatly appreciated.
My apologies for the post length. And thanks for lookin,
Regards,
Jules

Picked these first two up at a little antique shop.

Here's a couple pics of my nephew riding the Schwinn. He couldn't reach the pedals, so he rode it "ratstyle"...... :)

Picked these wheels up at the curb on the way. Anyone want to relace some wheels for me?? :?

My nephews grandparents saw that I was into bikes and gave me these next two, as well as a Columbia 12spd that I left with my other nephew.

Just love the front fender on this one. Too bad "johnny krylon" got a hold of the bike.

The first bike I bought, and my favorite is this springer frame. Ironically, I gave more money for it, than all the rest put together.
If anyone can post a pic of what this jewel looks like complete, or even date it for me, I'd appreciate it.

I talked the seller into throwing in the tank. Anyone know what this fits? And/or can anyone use it?

Here's a few I couldn't afford on the way.

And now the junk. Last friday, I got a call from a friend who said a neighbor had 10+ bikes he said I could have for free. Sad thing is, they weren't even a good deal at free. The best parts bike in the bunch is the exerciser.

Thanks again for looking.......

what were they asking for that one?
The owner was strong on all his prices (in my opinion). He wanted $210 for the blue one, and $310 for the other. When I pulled up, I thought I was in heaven...... then I heard his prices, and realized why he had so many "keepers" sitting around.

 sounds like me
if only i was close..........ive always wanted a truss frame but unfortunately shipping would bring it to way over what id be able to pay......oh well

Your springer frame is a 50's Western Flyer X-53. You're better off just tossing on parts from your stash than finding original parts, big money. Here's what they look like:

The other springer frame with the scallops may be a 50's Schwinn Phantom or B6, does the fork have a key hole in it?

Thanks for the Pic NE!! Agreed, parts look like they will be expensive. I'll set her back until some ideas come to mind.
The other frame was a Schwinn, but I didn't look it over well enough to answer any detailed questions.

are the pedals on the exercise bike red or brown? if they're red they're cool. that x-53 frame and fork is awesome.
They've got a little red to them, but leaning more toward brown. What caught my eye was that the seat, the pedals, and the grips all match, and are a slightly unusual color. Could make for an unusual build theme.

Might those curbside rims be from a wheelchair? Never seen anything like that...

You might be able to make a rear rack for the X-53 from an old lawn chair...that is a great looking bike even without most of the parts, as you well know...

Good scores!

I cant believe you found a parts bike for your X-53
Scary, isn't it?....... :)
Not at all fimiliar with this bike, so I'll have to educate myself before jumping in. Didn't think I'd be getting into the "restoration" business of bikes, but that looks like where it is heading.
The parts bike has an entirely different head badge, so I'm guessing it's a little newer than the builder. We shall see.....
