Decided the time had come to find a better way to store the ever growing pile of bikes in the back yard. Went searching through a scrapyard and found two bed bases off bunks, brought them home and with the two side rails off another bed made these two bike racks:

And here they are an hour later with about 45 bikes installed:

Still a couple more slots to fill, but ran out of bikes that were complete enough to stand in the rack, surprised by just how many bikes I have that do not have wheels...

I tried to file them in some sort of order, so going anti clockwise from the workbench end are, racer bikes, MTB, BMX, Muscle/retro, lowrider, parts bikes and project bikes. (past, current and future)

Certainly looks a lot better than the random piles around the yard...

Still got more cleaning up to do:

You guys that get to keep stuff stored outside are so lucky! - my neighborhood association has pretty much tried to stop me from starting my Mustang, let alone 50 bikes in the yard!

Yeah, I couldn't do that.

I am up grinding and welding all times of the night, for a while there my Toyota 12R powered air compressor ran no exhaust while I was painting a bike...

Pretty sure that would have got me kicked out of your neighbourhood...

Nice rack! Glad to see I'm not the only late nite welder/grinder . The Toyota powered air comp is probably quiter than my 5hp oil less .

Could well be! Here is an early video before the tank got hooked up:
