Just bought an old (50?) Monark. I unscrewed three screws on the tank, to get access to the horn battery. At some point the horn button fell in the tank.
The big question for me right now, is how the get the tank off. I started to pry on it, thinking it was "popped " into the frame/with the screws coming into play? Don't want to damage the thing. What am I missing?

Usually, the left side has the screws and that side should just fall off when they are removed. The right side usually has the brackets. Some kinds do pop into the frame, some don't pop but just sit in the frame loosely. You must have some bad rust issues that is keeping things held together. Soak it with WD-40 or Liquid Wrench or PB Blaster, let it sit for a while and try again. Gary
