How best to cut off a forged stem?

I am thinking about changing my forum name to something along a "stuck stem" theme. It seems that the majority of my bikes include a good-and-stuck stem. :?

After damaging both the stem and the fork, I have reached the stage of cutting this one off. How hard is it? What method would a hobbyist (without a torch) use? I am thinking that a cut-off wheel on my angle grinder may be my best bet. I have assumed that a hacksaw is not a good option.

I'd go (have gone) the hacksaw route. Nothing to it. Personally, I'd be nervous about using a cut off wheel through thick metal, if it binds and shatter's, could be ugly.
