We have spring cleaning here in Santa Clara and everyone gets a free trash pickup day. Basically it's a put-all-you-want-on-the-curb-and-we'll-haul-it-away kinda thing.

So I'm driving by a rather large pile and see a head tube sticking out from under some tree limbs and other nonsense and pull from the pile a sweet Schwinn roadbike frame with horizontal rear drops. "Kicka55!" I say.. "I can build a single speed with this thing!"

I don't know what model it is. I only know it's a schwinn. There's a Schwinn Chicago sticker on the seat tube but I'm curious as to the year it was made.

Here are the only numbers stamped on it. They're on the dropout opposite chainside

ADO8886

I know somebody here can help a brother out.

So here we go.

This frame is in really good structural shape considering I pulled it out of a pile of garbage.

Same thing in Los Gatos where my wife has her business. A few months ago I was driving home from there and found nice lightweight roadbike frame that was just missing the wheels. It was in plain sight and I wondered why no one else grabbed it before me. I gave it to my father-in-law and he sold it at the flea market.

Hey Voo Doo is that a Sunrise Schwinn dealer badge on the seat tube? The only reason I ask is it looks as though it reads Blossom Hill Rd, and San Jose CA. That was the Schwinn dealer I dealt with back in the day! Later & PEACE!!!! 8)
