how does it work? stewart warner floating hub

does anyone have any pictures of on eof these taken apart? i can only assume it has a regular hub in the offset pattern between the outer plates. and help would be . . . . .helpful. thanks guys!

I have been told that the inside of the hub is filled with rubber and that is what takes up the shock kind of like the colson springer forks in the early 40's
