How many bikes had wooden wheels?

My Dad just picked up a bike with wooden wheels. No head badge, the mounting screws are across from each other, not up and down. The tires are white with red tread. I don't have picture, he's in Calif, and I'm in Missouri, he doesn't have a digital camera. It's original black paint with green pin striping. It's a skip tooth too. Thanks, Dean
