How much is fair for a post war hex tube silver king?

something like this? The wheels might clean up, but the fork would need re-chroming. Non original chainring and likely pedals. not sure what else.

It's on my short list of must have's.

Well just from a quick search I found a frame that sold on evil bay for just shy of $500.

Just typed in hex tube silver king on yahoo and it pulled that up as one of the results. I'd ask for some detailed pictures, mention you have to drive quite a distance, and nitpick over anything you see in the pics and he might come down on the price a bit. It is a sweet bike though.

Wouldn't a flat sided fork been cool on it? Shame they didn't make one.
