Im new to the site and part way through my first build. Im building a cruiser but with a little boardtrack flair hopefully. I was wondering where everyone finds these awesome giant headlights. I dont even need one that works for the time being. Im not into the square art deco looking ones. I like the ones that look like they are from a car. What kind are people using and where can I find one to accent my build?

The one I used on my build-off bike came from a 6V flashlight - a Big Beam 164 lantern, which you can find on eBay all day long, and maybe even at yard sales and stuff. It isn't automotive sized (which could be upwards of 7"), but at ~4.5", its still plenty big.

You can find them reasonably priced on ebay. Just search something like "rat light". I've bought a couple that way.

I got the one on my Higgins at Moffitt's Chevy Restoration shop up in Springfield Oh. I just walked in and told them I was looking for a vintage yellow fog light. We went in the back and dug through boxes till I found what I was looking for. I think it was like $15. I took it apart and wired in an LED from a cheap flashlight. Here it is mounted on the bike.

Try an eBay search on 'tractor headlight'. They are usually a sealed beam, if you plan on converting it to LED, you'll need a drill bit for glass (or get lucky like me and had the filaments break off cleanly) Here's a couple I lights I found.
