How to work out correct sissy bar and seat length

Sorry if this is covered somewhere else but I’ve looked and not quite found the answers. Even more important to get it right as I need to order from overseas…
How do I work out what size / length sissy bar I need and also banana seat, based on my bike size.
looking to fit to a 24” wheels mountain bike frame
What do I need to measure on my bike and how does that translate into the sizes for the seat and sissy bar?

Set your seat height and angle, and then measure from the axle to the mounting holes.
Some sissy bars have multiple holes so they can be mounted in multiple configurations.

Most of the banana seats we get from vendors now seem shorter than the OEM seats of the 60s and 70s.

Agree on seat length. If you're using one on a 26" or 24" frame, need a longer seat. Most readily available seats are too short and the sissy bar has to tilt forward. Kills the look.

got impatient after a few days and have ordered these

Hoping I’ll be okay and they’ll fit my new build okay. I’ve a number of different seat post I can choose from but it was the height I was worried about!

With a laid-back seatpost you are going to be fine! But they do makes adult size banana seats, see eBay. My bobber has plenty of room with a short one.

you need to get a banana made for a 26" bike. they don't make 24" seats and the 20's are just too short. maybe you can compensate with a laidback seat post? i used a 26" seat and it worked good. i did need to drill extra holes for it in the sissy bar though.

I am building this for a friend that is 6’7". I need more mounting holes for the seat on the sissy bar. Depending on your needs, the BMX world has both laidback seat posts and snake seat posts that can help you out.
