my dad got on the cruiser wagon.. he bought a cranbrook.. first ride it was making bad bad noises while coasting from the rear hub.. i pulled it apart and the inner bearing on the cog side was WAYYYYYY dry.. added some grease..

now during reassembly.. it won't go back together.. it's like the shoe's are too long.. the stack is alot wider that the hub even when the spring is compressed...

it didn't feel like there was that much preload..

has anyone had this problem..? any pics..?

thanks dewds..

pretty much... rookie mistake.. building hub from the wrong side does not work.. the flange is not symetrical.. i was trying to put the cog side parts on the thicker flange.. makes sense right.. should have been looking at the ramp and shoes.. lesson learned..
