Well here we are ....just 50 miles from the coast ...watching a really big storm heading right for us . Destroying alot in its path ..which by the way I'm in . I noticed that in all the hurricanes I have seen I have never seen one no matter how strong knock down a palm tree. If I survive this one I'm thinking about how to build a house out of palm trees....maybe a bamboo floor.... Heard that is strong too. Well wish us luck,we are just a few hours away from Home Or no Home . Ought to be a long night.

Yep its suppose to come right over my house if it stays on course. It just now started to rain real hard with about 50 to 60 mph gusting rain. Steve is about 200 miles north but its suppose to go by him too. Rat rod dad lives about 45 miles north of me and it should be alot less once it gets to him. Its so wide its getting everybody. The power loss for 10 days will be the bad part. Luckly I was into rebuilding Onan generators before I started doing bikes . Got a 6500 sitting there ready to go the minute the power is off and the storm passes. May have to get a fannie mae loan for gas to run it. I have 10 gallons that should last a while. May have to see if you can still siphon gas out of a vehicle.

Re: hurricane watch/participation

We won't see any action until tomorrow afternoon.

Hopefully it will veer off to the east and we'll only see some rain and a bit of wind.

We'll be praying that goes by quickly and that everyone stays safe down there in Houston.
