I did it!

in 11 days I will run the first 5k of my life at age 46
I can run about half of it as of right now the goal is................... not to finish last
I walked and ran it tonite!

Good luck on the 5k. I would like to do RAGBRAI sometime it looks like a lot of fun, And good way to escape the Texas heat for a week.

I hadn't run 5k in 8 years, and had added 35 lbs, but did ok with my grand daughter's running club, I actually made it the whole way. As long as you keep a nice pace, it can be done. Then walk until you are cooled off, for me it was about a half mile.

10 years ago last may i was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and at that time they told me it was a possibility I couldn't walk in 10 years.........I guess I showed them
