I need your guidance...

Hey all,I recently picked up this old bike at a local bike yard and was told it was a 30's or 40's Schwinn.I tried to read up on the serial number and found out that all numbers prior to 1948 were burned in a factory fire.I can't seem to find any like it the web.Anybody have any info or suggestions where I might look? I love these old prewar frames and can't wait to start the rebuild.

hard to tell by the pictures(too dark) but looks around 38-39ish.
