This may be hard to believe.....but I turned down a free bike, it was a girls Huffy ten speed complete and in decent shape. But I was just given another ten speed that I cant identify yet and an old Jc Higgins made in austria girls bike with the sweet JC HIGGINS chainring for free from my LBS he is still way jazzed about the 72 Stingray I found him. I am just maxed out on taking anymore bikes right now...at least thats what I tell myself.

in theory, i ought ta get rid of a few, but its easier said than done. the two i sold locally, the new owners keep asking me to come ove3r (at least one of them is my neighbor) for mundane things like, "i think my tire is low, can you come over and put more air in it?". i mean i'm glad to help, but as something as simple as airing up a tire or fixing a flat, i'll help you get your own pump and show you how to fix a flat, but c'mon, i sold them a bike, not an extended warrenty package. thats why i don't like selling locally, cuz as my bikes hold up mechanically, some routine maintence (that they have no interest on learning themselves) can be done easily enough by the new owners. at least with me, i have twoplaces to store my bikes, so its never overwhelming. i just don't have the ability to say no to a bike.
