On our normal Saturday AM yard sale route, I spot a sad mt bike in one sale. I get out out to inspect it; it is an old Alpina Uno mens bike. Its "features":
- 2 flat and cracked tires
- both derailleurs non-operational
- both brake calipers non-operational
- seat cracked
- has the 'I've stored this in my backyard behind the woodpile' patina.
I asked how much, and the seller states 'I want forty dollars for it'. after my initial "Oh. Kay. surrrre" dropped jaw reaction :? , I responded with "so, how much crack does forty dollars buy these days?" and got back in the car.
