Ideas for the wife's Schwinn?

I'm a big fan of 40's/50's era big cruisers. I want to add some upgrades to my wife's 7-speed Schwinn to give it more of a 50's feel to it. Below is a picture. What I'm thinking is a chrome rack in the rear with some sort of deco looking rear light. Up front I'd like to add a deco looking fender light. And in the middle I'm a very big fan of tanks, so finding or having a scratch tank built and added. What else can you recommend?

Also, this bike has been sitting for a couple of years while I've been deploying. The tires are new (you can still see the rubber nubbies popping out!), but the white is starting to yellow. What can you recommend to bring them back to life?

Id just look around here, you will get some cool ideas, and maybe find the parts your wanting at a good price

For the whitewalls try Westly's Bleche White should be able to get it at like PepBoys, Autozone etc

My thoughts exactly. Besides the chrome on those fenders will rust fast anyway. I say paint the fenders, paint the frame with some old school frame darts, and get a vintage seat and grips.

Frame darts: a classy way of separating the colors on the bike frame. I don't know if that's the correct term or not.
