Do they fit any bike, or are they specifically Electra compatible, also the sizes of tyres different models will cover?

Re: Info on Electra mudguards (fenders) please

I just realised I should have used the Americn 'fender' - don't you also use that name for a car part? (That which we call 'bumper'?)

Confusing!

I changed the title of this post, anyway.

Ah I was thinking "mud flap" which goes on the end of the fender. Had forgotten what we call fenders others call mud guards.

Anyway my guess is they won't be a factory fit but could probably be tweaked to fit. I've put Nirve fenders on a non Nirve bike. I recall the center mounting hole on the rear didn't line up so I had to drill another one. Can't recall what else I had to do.
I suppose the biggest "if" is if they will fit between the fork and seat stays.

so when you see a bike with a bobed fender you say it is a "bobed bumper" ? interesting just like a boot and bonet is a well you know :D

In the uk ... = cigarette, ...... = a type of minced meat in gravy, also a bundle of sticks.

I noticed you call a chainguard a chainguard and not a chainfender!

Biscuit, yes, but that's just the word it is - same with cookie over there. At least we don't call 'crisps' 'chips' :) :) :)
(We call chipped potatos 'chips')
