i'm having a bit of an issue while posting. it only started a few days ago, and only happenes on this board. (no problems on other sites)

when i'm posting in the build section my computer is doing some bizzare things. small posts, it doesn't happen, but on longer posts it does.

as soon as the window is full of text and the scroll bar pops up on the side, my page wants to automaticly scroll to the top each time i hit a key.

ie if i manually scroll to the bottom of the text/page, when i type any letter the page scrolls up (making the line of text i'm typing just out of view) no matter how many times i scroll down, as soon as i hit a key it scrolls back to the top of the page. again its only when the scroll bar shows up on the side of the window and from what i can tell, only in the build section (its not happening here)

i'm at a total loss. anybody else experiancing this? is it the board, or am i doing something wrong?
again any help would be greatly appriciated.

I couldn't duplicate your problem.
Strange. Especially if it only happens in the Builds section.

i tried to reproduce the results also without success.
in my tentivtive build thread
(i typed a word, hit enter a bunch of times till the scroll bar showed up and typed a few more words)
worked fine, no problems.
tried a second time (held down one letter till the entire page was full and the scroll lines apeared)
worked fine, no problems

so then i moved the cursor to the middle of the line of text and inserted an extra word, hit enter to space, moved my cursor back to the end of the text and continued to type.

that seemed to do the trick and reproduced the issue i'm having.
btw it has to be a rather large post for it to happen.

oh yeah, my computer also seems to be cutting off the right side of some larger images (only on rrb)

not to mention the extra wide post i just had to correct??????? (from simply holding down the letter w above)
turned out 3 times wider than my first and second post in this thread. (like there was no right side rule/margin)

somethings goofy, i just don't know what keep in mind, i'm wacky box challange
is wackybox challanged pc?

btw if this helps, when editing the above w post, i was ready to scream. :shock: while trying to click and drag set error,(close to the bottom)it scrolls up automaticly.
i've checked my mouse, and theres no wandering cursor issue. only happens here on that thread.
tried it a dozen times.

if i go back to edit, something at the bottom of the page, the cursor highlights a few lines above the text i've selected and the page auto scrolls up (even if theres lots of text above the highlighted area)
its not just a case of my mouse scrolling to the top of the page.
makes it impossible to edit, cause i cant see the text (just below the window out of sight) and the selected area seems to have a mind of its own.


if i type a continuous line of text, i can make this enitre thread 3' wide, i tried a couple times then edited the thread. it also ajusts the other posts and makes some look like there 1 continuous line of text. wanna see?

maybe your computer is telling you to stop posting and keep building. :lol: but i have that picture problem too. theres been times exactly like this:
someones selling a fork, but its still on the bike. the picture is too big and the front half of the bike is cut off. so to even see the fork they're selling, i have to save the picture and look at it in my pictures. :x :roll: i thought steve was working on fixing that problem a while ago, but i imagine theres still some bugs.

the pictures being cut off on the right is(at least in my case) from using bigger picture size(again in my case) if you run the cursor over them the cursor should turn to the hand icon and you can click to enlarge.....if not right click and select view image and you can see them in entirety....
i havent had the page scrolling at all but a few times when ive posted a comment when i hit submit everything (text) turns into 3/4" text after its been submitted....its shrinks after a second but still kinda odd(and random since it doesnt do it everytime).... :?

I have had the same problem, typing in a long post, and it keeps bouncing to the top. I think its a browser issue. Im using i.e. but was told it dont work very well with RRB. I was told by Rat Rod that Firefox works much better.

I know with Firefox I dont have that annoying back button issue, but I always seem to have i.e. open so I just got used to dealing with it.

The long post issue... when it gets to the point that it wants to scroll back to the top... I just go ahead and post, then add the rest to the next post.
