Is there a catch to this auction?

He just seems like a very stick up the butt kind of person with all the "rules" he has for the auction. I don't know, something smells weird about it That 2000 bucks better cover shipping too!

It looks to me like they are trying to scam ebay, rather than pay the full listing price and ebays fees for a large transaction like that. What is also unusual is that every item they have listed is the same way.

Its a buy it now price, without listing it as a buy it now- how can they do that?

The auction has been removed from ebay. Something smelled fishy with this one.

There were several people listing their auctions like this, I counted over a 100.
I reported one yahoo.
I asked if an auction could be listed as a "buy it now" without the "buy it now" option checked- he had it written in the fine print saying that once the unofficial buy it now ($2000) was met than he would sell it. You also had to email him for special bidding instructions?!

ne like that. I figured they were trying to get out of paying ebay fees by putting the real value (or not) in the shipping cost. Regardless, if it looks like they're running ANY kind of game, I pass on by. -Adam
