I found this sad little guy hanging out at the flea market. $10.00 later it was headed home with me. It probably has more miles on it than most people's cars. I wonder how many kids learned to ride with this thing...

I scrubbed it down with Spray Nine but that really didn't help much. The wheels are in surprisingly good shape and the frame is solid.
 
So close to my first bike (including condition :lol: ), my chin and elbows started to bleed. :mrgreen: :lol: :lol:
 
Hey! You picked up my old bike from 40 years ago! Actually mine was a ringer for yours except it was green........I'm actually amazed as rough and tumble as us kids were with those bikes that one or two managed to survive :D
 
That's a postwar bike but before the war that model went by the number BB1CX. The BB1 had the double bar frame, the BB1CX as shown was the less expensive version. Gary

I was hoping someone would chime in with a model number on this. The serial number puts it as a 1951 but I couldn't find that frame style in any of my literature. Thanks Gary! :D
