Found it on CL a few days ago with the seller asking for an offer. I emailed with an offer of $100 without really thinking that the seller would accept. Got a response saying that so far my offer is the highest. This morning I got an email from the seller saying that he/she will sell the bike to me.

Not sure if I paid too much or just right. Looks to be complete, but has some damage (rear rack). Not sure if it has skiptooth or not. I mainly thought about parts when I saw this bike.

Curious to know...

Thanks.

1. Not too much if you are wanting an old girls Schwinn bike to restore for yourself.

2. Too much if you plan to flip it.

3. Probably bring that much or more parted out, but that's a lot of work.

Seat = $15
Rack when fixed = $40
Truss rods and fork = $40-ish
Fenders = $15 - $20
The rest I dunno, headbadge could be several bucks. Looks like you got your money's worth.

I would be interested in the headbadge if you deside to part it out. Maybe the bare frame, if the price and shipping won't kill me.

Hello Bikesntrikes,

The chainguard should bring about $20+ maybe more on ebay.

I bought a similar gals bike last year for parts for $80
and I didn't get the trussrods so I suppose you did alright.

Cheers.

I spoke with the seller today. The bike is skiptooth. He also has the original pan style seat and original rims to go with it. I'm having a friend pick it up for me this weekend. Will have it on Monday.

I'll likely end up keeping it since it'll be my first skiptooth and a fairly complete bike.

Thanks for everyone's replies.

It's officially a good deal! With the original seat and rims tossed in, you've definitely got good value for your money. Sell the parts to folks building boys bikes who are missing parts you now own. Or use it rebuild something of your own.

Good value I'd say.
