To sell a bike again. I just sold my Schwinn Caliente that I thought I'd never sell. and I threw in the spray bombed Murry for free so he has plenty of parts. I think for $25 I made a customer and broke even on the bike. But even without much profit it feels good to make someone's day and get a few bikes out of the way. :mrgreen:

That's good luck. Hard to flip a bike in a cold December. Do you have much snow there in Kokomo ? It's been really cold here but no major snow yet . Lots of bikes laying on CL unsold.

About 4 inches on the ground here just north of Kokomo. 3 to 6 on the way. Ready for spring! :roll: Good job on the sale Outskirts!

That is a good feelin'. I was resigned to not wasting time trying to sell here in mid-winter, but after finishing the service on a 1955 Monark over the weekend I took a couple pics and posted it on CL yesterday about noon. It was sold and gone by 7pm. I considered it a big win.

Yeah I still run my add on C-list just before Christmas and try to get a few last minute Huffys out of the way. He asked about a women's road bike for his wife, described his needs right down to it being a small frame with 27" wheels because she's short and I instantly thought of that Schwinn collecting dust in the corner of the shed that I been trying to sell for months, sure enough the bike was a perfect 19 inch frame and even her favorite color. I just bought it with 3 others at a yard sale last summer in a package deal. I wanted the mirror but I left it on rather than fiddle with the cables to get it off. Happy customer, happy seller. It's a great day.
