anyone know about these Hercules bicycles. My brother in law has a scrap metal business and someone brought this in along with what appears to be an Elgin frame and tank ?????? Not too sure . The cranks on this thing fought my eye .

Hercules was one of the British Cycle Corp/ Tube Investments, along with other brands like Phillips and Sun. The BCC bikes were the main competitor of Raleigh and its other Nottingham brands (Rudge, Humber, Robin Hood, Triumph) until TI, the parent company, took Raleigh etc over in 1960.

Check the Sturmey-Archer 3 speed hub for a date; if the wheel is original, the bike might be the same year as the hub or maybe a year or so later....

Thanks for the info , not sure if anything will come of it . Not really my style of bicycle . It has some things that did make me look like the front wheel and cranks .
Thanks again 808 I do appreciate it .
