my '57 spitfire

i bought this after buying a 59 ladies bike for my girl. threw it together threw some paint on it and rode the dung out of it, took the bikes to a bike show and the ladies bike took third in the womens class so i got froggy and decided to clean them both up.

I took mine apart about 4 days before i got an email notification about this buildoff so I am gonna put it back in because it is not already built and will look much different by august.

Maybe i can get her registered and enter hers too if i make her work on the tools with me :roll:

OH YEAH! That'll look sweet! I want to do an all white one soon too...Inspired by this one...from chain gang lowriders customs.

But now that I look at it again...there's so much I'd do different too :mrgreen:

decided to rattle bomb the wheels a mossy green with the gold metallic undercoat and a gold glitter ;flake' not so much clear

i also have the hookup on take off kenda balloon tires so i got a set of white walls to complete the look.

(the wheels pictured are s-7 rims with kenda white walls, but i do have a 'creamier' set of white walls to go with the green heavyweight wheels)
ALSO excuse the messy work area, we cook too much to do it in the kitchen :mrgreen:

I am working on a set of flipped bars to make it look good, but this bike gets ridden upwards of 20 miles a week and the apes just make it that much more comfortable, so i will probably keep them.

I'd like to add a springer fork, cool seat and grips along with anything else anyone may have, especially in the DFW area!!

Looking good thus far man! A white springer from chaingain lowrider, or choppers us...one of the two has them, would look nice

love the color on the wheels...you got any secrets to using that glitter spray? i cant get that stuff to lay how i want it to. also, how long do you wait before you clear it over?

its a great looking bike man - even nicer truck. my good buddy has a shorty small window.

as you can see, its been under construction for awhile!
