I thought id jump in and make an attempt to build an old-school mx (bmx motocross) bike. here we go!. . . .

















That's all so far. Not sure what im going to do with it at this point!

when i get home ive decided to put the chopper-style fork back on. got some fresh new tires and painted a chainring that i might use

been having some trouble trying to figure out what to do with this bike and it came to me yesterday. . . .

Got the blue paint on the frame and taped off where the stripes will be so that after the white paint dries i'll pull the tape and itll be blue underneath.

almost done!! just need some pedals and still waiting for my chainguard decal.

installed the headbadge. . . .


painted the seat with black vinyl paint


one step closer. . . . now i just need pedals and my chainguard decal and its done.

Big fan of trans ams having had a 79 and a 97 of my own. Love the cars, the bike is fan-freakin-tastic. Great job!

Man that thing came out awesome!! I was rather fond of the blue stripe that was on the seat though, other then that, that thing is bad to the bone!! I've also owned a Few Trans Am's, an 83,87 and an 01 WS6.

the wheels are lesters. the rear was a lester but had schwinn magalloy lettered on the rim. . . . i ground that off and smoothed it out with a dremel, so now they both match.

if that blue had been a little darker i would have left it as is. but it was too far off to leave as is.
