I was doing my daily "what's ending on eby tonight" scan the other evening, and this gem showed up with no bids, no reserve, and a crazy cheap opening bid! Bidding was the only appropriate thing to do! And I won it! It was in the driveway when i got home, ridiculously fast ship! Someone built this up from parts, primed with red primer and a gray topcoat, then sanded back for a faux finish that looks great, and I generally don't like 'em! I don't know what kind of frame it is. Has a Shelby chainring, and the guard looks like Shelby too, but it's period aftermarket, has extra mounting holes for the brackets. I've been on ebay since 2005, and this is only the second J & R badged bike I've seen! The other was a wartime era, Monark built bike with black ND hubs. I know that because I won that one too! I did some research, and found that J & R was an auto parts chain in the midwest, like a Western Auto, but that's about it. This is the ebay pic, I'll try to get some better pics out in the sun, because this thing is just that neat! -Adam
