JC Higgins 16" bike...what year?

Hi!
I was wondering if anyone can tell me about this JC Higgins bike that I found. Can anyone identify the year and approx. value?
I am new to this group...so please be gentle. :0)

There should be numbers stamped into the bottom bracket, where the cranks are installed. There was various codings for Sears, who sold JCH's. Sometimes those numbers can be decoded by comparing to old catalog pages. If you can post those numbers, I'll check in my book for them. Generally the first set reads 'MOD 502'. Sears used the JCH name on bikes from 1946-64, though I'd guess mid 50s. -Adam
