been sadly absent here ... busy trying to find work , and side jobs to pay the bills... sigh
Have, however, managed to snag a few along the lines, just no time to get pics, etc - goofing off tonight, so posting a couple :)

first one is a nice early lightweight - 3 speed Shimano 333 hub, unusual to see the twist grip shift on a guys bike, I thought.
Not sure what to do with it yet, we'll see.

Any idea on the date,? serial no is 503 47 680 , has 'made in Austria' in headbadge. nice Higgins chainring.

other one is a rusty 24" - nice patina, if it will free up ( totally rusted solid ), then I have plans for this one, as I have a nice doner ladies Spaceliner ;)

Last one - nice skiptooth ladies Hawthorne, rides nice, might part this one, so yell at me .... so many bikes, so lil time and space....

The catalog # on the red one, 47380, was used in 1963 and 64. 65's were 47381. Since yours has a Sears badge and logo on the seat tube, I'd say it's a 64. Most 63's still had JC Higgins badging. The rusty one may be a 1956 since it has a 3 piece crank. Which was unusual on a cruiser, they bought bikes from Stelber in Europe during a US strike that year. The Hawthorne, looks like it has the aluminum badge, with blue lettering, that says "HAWTHORNE" spelled out over the big H. It was only used in 1948-49. -Adam

I've got the same Sears bike, doesn't have a JC Higgins chainwheel though. It's black and the 3 speed hub has 63 stamped on it by the word "speed". I've got the correct chain guard if you want it.
