This showed up on CL this morning so I went over and swooped it up. The seller thought it was a JC Higgins from the early 60's. Probabaly right but there is no headbadge and it has Schwinn Typhoon Cord tires that appear to be original. The rear dropouts look like a Murry built bike.

Its funny how much I hate modern reflectors, but I really love that this bike has reflectors everywhere. My second bike in 2 weeks with hub-shiners.

If anybody knows what the light or ornament missing from the front fender or what the headbadge should look like, please clue me in.

After taking it for a spin this afternoon itI realized that there were some striking similaritys to the lady's Sears bike I picked up earlier in the week. Same cranks, chainguards, racks, forks and dropouts. The tanks are not exactly the same but are kind of close.

I think these two were meant to be together.

It's a Murray of some sort at least. Does it have a serial number?

Its on the left rear dropout. MOU 20x11. The hub is a Bendix 76 Mexico 0059.
