i've been noticing a tonne of jet bikes on line.
seems to be the new craze. even crazier, a lot of em seem to be rat rods and vintage cruisers.

they've even graced our presence here with firebikes incredably killa buzz bomb.

This is me on the very first Y2K Turbine Super bike, in 1998. In another thread I spoke of being a designer for Confederate Motorcycles. Well, I was also involved in the bodywork for this bike.

This is an Allison Rolls/Royce c98m inverted engine. It used a single speed Mitsubishi Gallant transmission (all subsequent versions had 2 speeds).

The plastic tail section you see was nicknamed the "Alligator head" and I take personal credit for it's eventual ejection from the finished examples.

Either you like it or you don't, but I am currently working on a new street fighter version.

The Street fighter will have a bobbed rear section and it will use a bomber style seat! I am attempting to infuse subtle YF22 Raptor styling elements. We Shall see!

i'm sold, hook line and sinker. that bike rocks.
where do i sign up for the firebike test drive. :)

isn't that y2k the fastest production bike ever built?truely cool to be a part of that history! :D

It was clocked at 237 (but truly has more), so far 17 have been built and the street fighter Y2K I am working on will be named the "2012". It may be production, it may not.

Thanks for the good words.

Last time I checked, there were a half-dozen different rocket and jet powered bicycles on Youtube. Which is kind of scary that that many people think of it and buid one.

Well, there are several types of hobbyist jets. Some you can buy prefabbed and others you can make from turbochargers and then, the most simple, most obnoxious of all, the pulse jet.
