Join us for Bike Build days

BIKE NEW LONDON will be holding two Bike Build Days to support our Bike Share New London program.

We are using mountain/ATB style bikes, and cruiser style bikes in both men's and ladies frames, for our free Bike Share program. We presently have 6 completed bikes, and another 8 that have been donated and need to be completed.

Our volunteers can use your help in disassembling, cleaning, painting, re-assembling and tuning up these bikes. Each bike usually requires a few hours of attention to get it into good running shape for the program.

Help us get our non-profit program off the ground, and onto the streets!

Our build days are Saturday, May 1st, and Saturday June 5th, 2010. Each day is from 12-3:00PM. Location is 96 Hempstead St., New London, CT 06320. Directions are here:

Many thanks to Steve and JD and Allyn for their help on our first scheduled Bike Build Day. We got a lot done and had a good time.

We worked on stripping a few bikes, building one complete bike, and getting some of the paint work done.

Every finished bike added to the fleet gets us closer to our goal of 12 bikes ready for the middle of June.
This one will be the smallest one in the bunch, and a lot of shorter riders have tried it already. Rides great! 24" Roadmaster.
