Just one brake

I replaced my rear coaster brake wheel with one with a freewheel. I have a brake in front, is that enough or do I need one in back? It's for a 20 inch foldie. The front seems to stop me just fine and this bike isn't for going fast. Does anyone get by with a just a front brake (besides fixies)

That should be fine. Just stay off gravel or ice.

if I ever use one brake, then its always the rear brake.. I take off the front one

I took out my coaster brake off and fit up a hand brake for the back. All you need is a drill and a long enough cable to come off those crazy apes.. I team into a problem getting the right clearance putting the brake in the normal position but I like the outcome of that roadblock...

Before gyro's I only ran a front brake BMX racing, that way the cable couldn't get tangled cause I ran mine down the head tube.
