Thanks. The 1956 F100 has a Chrysler torsion bar front suspension. It's a popular mod to these old trucks to replace the original paralell leaf springs and "straight" axle. That gets one disc brakes and power steering. The engine is a 472/500 Cadillac and he trans is a 400 Turbo.The rear axle is a 8-7/8 Chrysler with 2.76:1 gears. I've had the truck for a few years. It had been taken completely apart and stored in a barn for almost 20 years when I found it. I drive it every day. 8)
