this is my donor bike--x-games bmx----dumpster diver special

this is the bike after the first chop---i raked it, cut off the rear triangle-keeping the brakes intact, made kind of ghetto tripletrees, and extended the rear 13 inches

heres another shot of the bike

i picked up a brake cable $2.50 and took it out for a shakedown coast down the hill
near my house--it didnt steer well--the front wheel kind of flopped left and right, it didn't
turn the bike

steering would be a bonus

i cut some off the fork and it didnt quite look right yet
i wanted to use the wheelchair wheel for the front

so i cut some more--

i found a mongoose bmx bike on another diving expedition
got the rear seat and post also 1 chain and a 44 tooth sprocket and 7" crank which i used
on my tripper
i also picked up from cl for free ,3 pairs of handle bars and the blue hand grips

i welded it all up - put some rear foot rests- the rear seat- different bars--i think im
gonna try the apes again anyway

i took it for another shakedown coast---its rides suprisingly well

now i have bonus steering and brakes

that rusty seat post ,that i couldnt remove during the first chop ,bent from my fat beep...lol
so i changed it up and its more comfortable

ive also found 2 more chains---time to really ride this thing

i angle cut the front forks under my chain wheel dropouts
cut the rear foot rests-a bit too long-i wacked my shin on one moving the bike---boy it hurt
and changed the crank to 6-1/2" ---started to remove stickers and clean up welds
getting ready to paint---i think im gonna leave the chrome and paint the rest

Nickdaddy, I'm diggin your build. It's got the right look with that fat tube front end and the big front wheel. Now just so we know you are not fibbing, I would like to see you taking the wife for that ride. My wife would never ride on something I built and won't ride in my rat rod cars. So either your wife is the coolest or your pullin a fast one. Keep up the bike building, I like what your creating.

thanks bro, im gald you like the build so far

my wife is definitely cool. she cruises in my stroked-blown 66 stang with me all the time
she even came to run the engine on the dyno

recently found a light which i fitted with a 3 led flashlight bulb
also painted it up a little

heres some more pix with the light on and more detail
i soldered wire between the 2 d batteries and put a toggle switch in the housing itself
also clear siliconed the 3 bulb led assy. in the origional housing

Very creative nickdaddy. Can't wait tro see some video with you and your passenger. Interesting fork with the chain rings and the stepped tubes. Different, nice job.

Love the bike, just a quick design idea. To make the passenger a little more comfortable, how about puttin' a banana seat back there?
Drill the holes for the sissy bar where the chainstays and seatstays meet on those huge dropouts, raking them backwards a little (not too much though)?
Just a thought...

that is a great idea and i think i have a banana seat laying around to see how it looks

I like the design evolution on your burrito, have to be honest, didn't like it much at the beginning but the result is great, Muy Estrafalaria! :wink:
I wonder how a banana seat would look in this one...

dude,even i wasnt too sure about this one at first
i tried to make a chopper but it was a terrible rider but im happy with how it is now as a burrito
im gonna paint it up better soon too---its been waaay too humid here
i painted a rat rod tricycle for my 2 year old son last nite , and its still not dry

i tried a banana seat on ot and it didnt fit nice,the front was too far forward
onto the front seat and the sissybar would be at such a steep angle
maybe ill make a big 2 person banana seat?? like this one
i wanted to get a hairpin front seat and a springer rear seat
