Here are my bikes, I hope to get rid of & add as time goes on.

My Christine bike that I haven't got to do much with it, I need to paint it and a white seat for it

Spaceliner that I haven't done much to it until I can sell stuff that I have and where the dropout goes into the frame, the tube has a crack in it that I have no idea what happened because I never dropped it or anything so if I need to weld that area then I need to sell it to someone that can weld.

Spaceliner Klunker, I have taken it apart along with the green paint but the front hub shell is cracked where the bearrings rest and the rear wheel has a chipped sprocket tooth.

65 Schwinn, looks brown but it is coppertone that seemed to have been ridden around some place with a lot of tar.

Check out this CL ad, he said he has researched Tyler bikes and said that can be found for $250 so I would like to know where because i have never seen anything like that when I searched other than the company Romet who made the crank set & sprocket still makes and sells them which they have a site too that I will post under that CL ad.

This is what I saw at the Zephyrhill car and swap last Feb but he wanted $200, even if I wanted to bargin for it I couldn't afford it anyway.

Looks like you got some nice bikes done and good projects in the works
Always good to see another Spaceliner fan :D
Keep us posted as to the progress on your builds
Thanks for sharing

Because both of you got them from me and the coppertone bike was black when I got it and I removed the black paint with paint remover Tony

Thanks, I like to make the Spaceliner Klunker one more original but I will call it a Gateliner as in the movie and tv shows Stargate but I will have to find a little Stargate to put on the front of it and I like to find close to original parts for it instead of that 5 speed on the rear.

The other Spaceliner I will be selling because it's too much for me to do and I need the money.

I have a springer on the 65 but I will get one for the green 68.

I will be at a car & swap in Zephyrhills Florida tomorrow and hopfully get some parts and other things and I looked at the 65 & it has different paints that looks like original blue, green with some kind of specks in it, blue & red on top.

I am selling the Tyler and a few other things for the car & swap but it's too late for that but they still are for sale but no luck around here in Auburndale yet.

I have a repop 58 Plymouth V for the front of my Christine bike but I need to paint it which I wished I could have someone do it for my because I don't think I can do it right, I also need to find a white seat for it to completely have it finished and I want to get a few accessories Too.

I'm trying to get the crappy spray paint off the Rollfast but everything I have tried doesn't seem to work and I don't think the original is that great either.

The seat & sissy bar from my Tyler is on my 65 Stingray temporarily so I can finally try to ride it but that rear wheel isn't the great which it wobbles and I guess the numbers on the bottom bracket might be a zip code or something.

Stupid question:Does anyone think using 24 tpi is ok on a Schwinn bike instead of using the higher priced 28 tpi?

In the spirit of Rat Rod Bikes, I think it should be ok.

Oh, 28 tpi thread size fits original cranks on most older U.S. made Schwinn and Mongoose bikes, Other brands and replacement cranks generally use the 24 tpi size.

Are some of the Schwinn wheels & rims still usable eventhough some of them have rust & holes in the inner wall but not the outer.

Here are a few pics and a link for the rest.

http://s81.photobucket.com/albums/j206/ ... /Bicycles/

I'm keeping the 20 ich tires since one has blown even though it was below the right pressure & wheels but I might sell the others and would I need boxes to ship or just something around part of them for addresses?

Nice collection!

For removing the clear on your spaceliner, I ended up using a razor blade and scraping it all off. worked awesome!

Thanks

I just got spokes for the front wheel on my Tyler but not the rear because they don't remember seeing spokes with it's length and one of the nuts for the front axle is scored but everything else is fine.

Now a few of them are gone now.

I don't like to but I think I might sell my Klunker but it will not have the seat post because it's a long seat post that fits into my 68 Stingray frame, the foam of the seat has acut in it but it will still go with it since it doesn't hurt to ride when I tried it on another bike, the derailers would go with it but the front is bent & broken, the handlebars are sold so they wouldn't be on it, it needs a new hub on the front because it was cracked before i got it, the rear is fine but it's missing a tooth, unlike when i got it this bike will have an earlier Spaceliner chain guard with it and whatever so if anyone would want a Spaceliner Klunker I might sell it even though I don't want to sell it which is why I didn't put it in the for sale section.

In it's current condition that I was trying to put back original.

I have been thinking of selling my Raleigh folder so I can buy bike parts and so I could get through this month but I'm not sure yet.

I'm trying to get the headset nut to the fork but it will not go onto the fork and I have tried every other one I have too but it seems the steerer tube is too thick even for the original nut which was completly hard to get off in the first place.

Also a fork from the same years Murray built bike is thinner than this Spaceliners fork, some day I hope to finnally sell enogh of my stuff I don't use to get a rat trap for it.

Here are some current pictures but the parts on it are just temporary untill I can afford original Spaceliner parts like a springer, 7 tank, wheels, seat and so on.
