So here is the lucky #13th. bike to be completed for the buildup, "Lady Luck". This is what I started with, a Western Flyer "Circa 50's" repro bike from the mid 80's.

My buildup consisted on making it look like a barn find antique with a little boardtracker thrown in... so the whole bike was cleaned up, sanded, primered, painted then re-texturized and airbrush detailed to look like a rusty find. Period parts like the X-53 springer fork and bars, and brand new ones like the seat were also detailed and aged to complete the bike.

No, it's not really a barn find:

Thanks a lot to you guys for all the inspiration and beautiful bikes I've seen on this site, and want to pass on the good luck to all the guys still finishing their entries.

Dude, this bike is killer! I love the post/seat combo and the "antiquing" is incredible! Good Luck, you have my vote so far!

Love the seat post. If it had old rotten tires I would fall for the barn find. Great job.

Huh? This is a mid 80's repro?! Where were these sold at? I've never seen a repro like that before! :? Great work on the build! Your photography/staging is excellent!
