Late 50s Murray Space Flite Middleweight

Got this off of Craigslist a few months ago and bobbed both fenders and cleared the guard, fenders and frame. I will also be installing a tank. Got the wheel from HBBC, 50mm wide rims with Freedom Thickslicks 26x 2.0. Repacked all the bearings and cleaned it up. it's now a rider.

so I snagged a Murray tank thanks to Ceebee (my local source for all things vintage bicycle). It had some "kid-painted" flames on it when I got it and those had to go!!! so I stripped off the front section of the tank and layed down a brown base paint then sprayed some ivory white over it and then speckled it with more brown and dry and wetsanded through. the only thing left to do now is to rub some wood stain over the white to match the frame.

put some wood finish over the white and let it get tacky then I set it ablaze with a butane torch to age the finish. success.
