Latest Tractor Show Find (And other stuff...)

I found this at a tractor show, yes... a Tractor Show. It was last weekend but I've been too busy to post any pics until now.

I had to have it, its just so beautiful :shock: And the price was right at $20!
A beautiful all original Schwinn Deluxe Varsity. The paint is almost flawless, decals are a little cracked up, and besides the duct tape on it its clean as can be! Factory speedo, rear rack, freewheel front crank (WHAT?) and all new rubber. Chicago made baby! I did ride it for a few miles, and I realized 2 things, that I am way out of shape :lol: and that the only thing taking away from a beautiful ride is how dang uncomfortable the seat is.

Had a light on it but its all rusty and dented, so I took it off.

WHY?!?!?

Then I also picked these up last week from my LBS. Had them next to the dumpster so I asked if I could grab them. Junk girls frame and fenders, S7 wheel (I think), and a cool "Spitfire" rear rack.

That Shimano FF (Front Frewheeling) drive train is a killer set-up to make a 10 speed cruiser with! It is designed to shift when you are not pedaling, you stop pedaling, flip the lever and listen for the "klunk". If used this way, the wear is greatly reduced on the drive train. I have used it a couple of times to make 10 speed beach cruisers and really liked it! :mrgreen: Later & PEACE!!!!
