My latest score unfortunately the paint job sucks to say the least . I believe the OG paint was stripped so no saving that . But I get a great start to customize it . Anyway this is a one year bike it was only made for October to December in 1941 . So this a fairly rare long tank gem .

It looks to have been repainted twice, red then green. The rims look rusty but that's red paint, also on the chainwheel. I think there's a chance the original paint is under there. Everything looks nice and straight, no dings on the fenders or chain guard.

It is a very straight bike as far as the paint time will tell . I haven’t done anything with it yet . It even has some really nice Allstate tires . There not dry rotted at all .

I absolutely love this bike! However i believe it is not CWC built And seemingly not Murray either, though guard and fork are Murray. I would guess it is Snyder built?

I'm no expert. @Wildcat is though. But my understanding is cwc typically used a straight fender bridge like this.

I know there's a really rare model where half the year was cwc made and the other half was snyder...

Earlier CW ones had the straight bridge, later had the curved. I think Thunderbolt has a Snyder frame from the 40's, the serial number will verify that. It's on the bb with an EH or SN and 2 digits along with the sequence number if it's a Snyder, numbers and Cw if a Cleveland Welding frame. It's looks like the same frame as my 42 Snyder Hawthorne. My money is on Snyder.

Either way is a great bike to have.

At one time CWC springers were used on Snyder frames.
